Cut the bananas in half lengthwise and brush both sides with some orange juice. Melt the butter in a large shallow pan over low heat. Add the sugar, remaining orange juice, orange rind, and cinnamon. Heat, stirring often, until the mixture starts to bubble. Add the bananas, cut side down. Heat the bananas through, basting constantly with the syrup in the pan, for about 3 minutes.
